From Big W to
building something
meaningful.
I didn't take the straight path to becoming a lawyer. I was working as a supervisor at Big W when I decided, on a bit of a whim, to give university a shot through Newcastle University's Open Foundation program. I was, by my own admission, a pretty average student at first.
But something clicked. I found law fascinating — not the dry, transactional kind, but the human side of it. The way legal processes intersect with some of the most vulnerable, emotional moments in people's lives.
In 2016, I founded Aqua Legal & Conveyancing to bring legal services with warmth and empathy to clients in NSW. From there came All Star Conveyancing, and then Confetti Finance. But it was my own personal experience with separation that changed the direction of my work most profoundly.
I trained as a Rapid Transformational Therapist (RTT) and hypnotherapist because I experienced firsthand the gap between legal support and emotional support — and I wanted to be the person who could provide both.
